Notes from a life in progress

Hey, I’m Samiran. I’m the kind of person who keeps a tiny stash of screws and cable ties “just in case,” and somehow it always comes in handy.

I like slow weekends that start with tea, a messy table, and an idea that may or may not turn into something. Sometimes it’s fixing a wobbly shelf. Sometimes it’s turning a quiet evening into a Lego city. Sometimes it’s just sitting on the floor, playing a board game, pretending I’m not being outsmarted by a kid who definitely has a strategy.

I moved to the U.S. a few years ago and learned that starting over is equal parts confusing and wonderful. I still measure spices with my heart. I still miss the sound of late‑night streets back home. I’ve learned to love long walks in new neighborhoods, grocery stores with ten kinds of cereal, and the kind of sunsets that make you stop mid‑sentence.

I like making ordinary moments a little special. Putting up lights for festivals. Turning dinner into an event. Building things that make life feel more ours. I believe a home should have corners that tell stories. A scuffed table from projects. A shoe rack that was once something else. A wall that remembers our best ideas in sticky notes.

I’m happiest when my hands are busy and the house is a little too loud. When there’s music on, something halfway finished on the table, and a conversation wandering from “what if” to “let’s try it.” I have a soft spot for bikes with squeaky brakes, notebooks with too many lists, and the quiet of late nights when the day finally exhales.

This site is where all of that ends up. Little experiments. Small traditions. Things that made us laugh. Notes I want to remember later. It’s not a niche or a plan. It’s just life, collected slowly, and shared the way I’d tell it to a friend.

If you’re new here, welcome. If you’ve been around, I’m glad you’re back. Either way, make yourself at home.
